GHRP-6 (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-6)

GHRP‑6 is a synthetic growth hormone releasing peptide that binds to ghrelin receptors, stimulating the pituitary gland to naturally increase growth hormone (GH) secretion. By activating GH pathways, GHRP‑6 supports muscle growth, fat metabolism, tissue repair, recovery, and appetite regulation, making it valuable for research in metabolic, anabolic, and recovery-related studies. ⚗️ Product Features 🧪 Synthetic ghrelin receptor agonist 📈 Stimulates endogenous GH release 🔄 Supports muscle recovery, fat metabolism, and tissue repair research 🍽️ Modulates appetite and energy balance ✅ ≥98 % purity verified by HPLC 📄 Batch-specific Certificates of Analysis (COAs) included 💧 Sterile, lyophilized peptide for research applications ⭐ Key Benefits 💪 Enhances muscle growth and tissue repair through GH pathways 🔥 Supports fat metabolism and body composition research 🍽️ Promotes appetite regulation and energy balance 🔬 Human-Relevant Research Applications 📈 Growth Hormone Release GHRP‑6 acts as a GH secretagogue in humans, stimulating the pituitary to increase growth hormone release. What is GHRP-6 (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-6)?

GHRP-6 is a synthetic hexapeptide, a chain of six amino acids, first described by Cyril Bowers and colleagues in 1984. It was one of the first compounds shown to release growth hormone through a pathway separate from GHRH. Its sequence includes D-tryptophan and D-phenylalanine.

GHRP-6 was later found to act on the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a), which was discovered partly through research on this peptide. Activating this receptor is thought to trigger growth hormone release from the pituitary. It is also known for raising appetite, as ghrelin is a hunger signal.

Also known as: Growth hormone-releasing peptide-6, Growth hormone-releasing hexapeptide, SKF-110679

What are peptides?

What the research covers

GHRP-6 has been studied in laboratory and animal studies since the 1980s, which showed it acts on the pituitary to release growth hormone. It was an important research tool in discovering the ghrelin receptor. Small human studies have measured short-term growth hormone responses, and animal studies have looked at its effects on the heart, gut and appetite. It has not been through large clinical trials, and long-term human data are lacking. GHRP-6 is not approved as a medicine by the US FDA.

Frequently asked questions

What does the research on GHRP-6 show?

Laboratory, animal and small human studies show it releases growth hormone. It has also been studied in animals for other effects. Large human trials have not been done.

How is GHRP-6 different from GHRP-2?

Both act on the ghrelin receptor. GHRP-6 is the older of the two and is known for a stronger effect on appetite. GHRP-2 is generally reported to be more potent at releasing growth hormone.

Are there side effects with GHRP-6?

Side effects can occur. Your GP will review your health, medication and, where relevant, blood results before prescribing, and you should report anything unexpected.

Which formats are available and how should I store them?

GHRP-6 is available as: pen, vial (injectable). Your GP will help you choose the most suitable format. Keep unopened lyophilised vials cool and dry, away from light. After reconstitution, refrigerate at 2-8C, protect from light and do not freeze. Keep pens and cartridges refrigerated at 2-8C and do not freeze. Follow the storage instructions on your pharmacy label.

How much GHRP-6 should I take?

Your dose is set by our licensed GP following a consultation, and printed on your pharmacy label.
