What is BPC-157 + TB500 Pen?

This product combines two separate peptides in one preparation. BPC-157 is a 15 amino acid peptide derived from a protein in gastric juice. TB-500 is a name used for synthetic thymosin beta-4 or a short fragment of it.

The two peptides are thought to act through different pathways. BPC-157 has been linked to growth factor and nitric oxide signalling in animal studies. Thymosin beta-4 binds actin and has been linked to cell migration. Combining them is a compounding choice rather than an approved formulation.

Also known as: BPC-157 + TB500, BPC 157 + TB 500, TB4 + BPC-157, Health Spray (TB500+BPC157), Wolverine blend

What are peptides?

What the research covers

Each component has been studied on its own, mainly in cell and animal models of tendon, muscle, wound and gut repair. Early research suggests both may support tissue repair processes in these settings. Human evidence for each is limited to small studies or case reports. We are not aware of published clinical trials testing BPC-157 and TB-500 together. Any expected benefit of the blend is therefore based on research into the individual peptides. Neither BPC-157 nor thymosin beta-4 is approved as a medicine by the US FDA.

Why combine BPC-157 and TB-500?

The two peptides are thought to act through different pathways, so some clinicians prescribe them together. The combination itself has not been tested in clinical trials. Your GP will discuss whether a single peptide or the blend is more appropriate.

How much of each peptide does the blend contain?

The ratio is set by the compounding pharmacy and shown on your label. Your dose is set by our licensed GP following a consultation, and printed on your pharmacy label.

Are there side effects?

Side effects can occur. Your GP will review your health, medication and, where relevant, blood results before prescribing, and you should report anything unexpected.
