HEXARELIN

Hexarelin is a synthetic growth hormone-releasing peptide (GHRP) developed to strongly stimulate the pituitary gland to release endogenous growth hormone (GH). Known for its high potency, Hexarelin is studied for its role in muscle growth, fat metabolism, recovery, and anti-aging research. Unlike many GH secretagogues, Hexarelin has also been investigated for direct cardiovascular effects, including improved cardiac performance and vascular support, making it a unique peptide in both performance-focused and regenerative research settings. What is HEXARELIN?

Hexarelin is a synthetic hexapeptide, a chain of six amino acids, developed in the early 1990s. It is closely related to GHRP-6. The main difference is a methyl group added to the D-tryptophan at position two, which makes it more stable.

Hexarelin acts on the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a), which is thought to trigger growth hormone release from the pituitary. It has also been reported to bind CD36, a receptor found in heart and blood vessel tissue. This has made it a subject of cardiovascular research.

What are peptides?

What the research covers

Hexarelin has been studied in small human trials and animal studies. A 1994 human study found it released growth hormone after injection, and to a lesser degree after intranasal and oral use. Other studies reported that the response may lessen with repeated use. Animal studies have looked at possible effects on the heart. The human evidence is small and short-term, and it has not been through large clinical trials. Hexarelin is not approved as a medicine by the US FDA.

Frequently asked questions

What does the research on hexarelin show?

Small human studies show it releases growth hormone, though the effect may lessen with repeated use. Animal studies have explored effects on the heart. Large trials are lacking.

How is hexarelin different from GHRP-6?

Hexarelin is a modified form of GHRP-6 with a methyl group added for stability. Early research suggests it is more potent at releasing growth hormone, and it also binds the CD36 receptor.

Are there side effects with Hexarelin?

Side effects can occur. Your GP will review your health, medication and, where relevant, blood results before prescribing, and you should report anything unexpected.

Which formats are available and how should I store them?

Hexarelin is available as a vial (injectable). Keep unopened lyophilised vials cool and dry, away from light. After reconstitution, refrigerate at 2-8C, protect from light and do not freeze. Follow the storage instructions on your pharmacy label.

How much Hexarelin should I take?

Your dose is set by our licensed GP following a consultation, and printed on your pharmacy label.
