Kisspeptin‑5 is a short‑chain peptide in the kisspeptin family that plays a key role in regulating the hypothalamic‑pituitary‑gonadal (HPG) axis. It stimulates the hypothalamus to increase GnRH (gonadotropin‑releasing hormone) secretion, which in turn supports the release of LH (luteinizing hormone) and FSH (follicle‑stimulating hormone) — the core hormones involved in reproductive function, menstrual cycles, and gamete maturation. Research highlights its central role in reproductive hormone regulation in both males and females. ⚗️ Product Features 🧪 Peptide regulator of the hypothalamic‑pituitary‑gonadal (HPG) axis 🧠 Supports stimulation of GnRH, LH, and FSH pathways relevant to reproductive signaling 📈 Investigated in contexts of hormonal regulation, ovulation support, and fertility signaling ✅ ≥98 % purity verified by HPLC 📄 Batch‑specific Certificates of Analysis (COAs) included 💧 Sterile, lyophilized peptide for research applications 🔬 Human‑Relevant Research Applications 🧠 Regulation of GnRH, LH & FSH Secretion Kisspeptin acts directly on the hypothalamus to stimulate release of GnRH, which in turn causes increases in LH and FSH levels — key hormones controlling reproductive function in both males and females. Clinical research has shown that administration of kisspeptin in humans causes robust increases in LH, FSH, and associated reproductive hormone activity, indicating its central role in reproductive hormone regulation. 🔗 https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23256725/ Kisspeptin administration increases plasma LH and FSH in healthy humans via activation of the HPG axis. 🧾 Mechanism Summary 📈 Stimulates hypothalamic GnRH release, driving the HPG axis 🔄 Enhances LH and FSH secretion via pituitary signaling 🧬 Essential for regulation of reproductive endocrine pathways in both males and females 🔍 Shows links to reproductive hormone pulsatility and ovulation regulation 🔄 Reconstitution & Handling Guidance 1️⃣ Reconstitute with sterile bacteriostatic water2️⃣ Add appropriate volume based on research protocol3️⃣ Gently swirl — do not shake4️⃣ Store reconstituted peptide at 4–10 °C5️⃣ Refrigerate unopened vials until use ❓ Frequently Asked Research Questions How does Kisspeptin‑5 influence hormone release?Kisspeptin‑5 stimulates GnRH release from the hypothalamus, which leads to increased secretion of LH and FSH by the pituitary - core hormones in reproductive endocrine signaling. Is Kisspeptin associated with reproductive hormone cycles?Yes, research shows that kisspeptin is a key regulator of the HPG axis, involved in the control of reproductive hormone rhythms, ovulation signaling, and reproductive health biology.
What is KISSPEPTIN?
Kisspeptins are natural peptides made from the KISS1 gene. Kisspeptin-10 is the shortest active form, made of the last ten amino acids of the longer kisspeptin-54. It was first studied as a metastasis suppressor, which is why it is also called metastin.
Kisspeptin acts on the KISS1 receptor (also called GPR54) on GnRH-producing nerve cells in the hypothalamus. This is thought to be a key upstream signal for GnRH release, which in turn prompts the pituitary to release LH and FSH. It sits one step above gonadorelin in the reproductive hormone pathway.
Also known as: Kisspeptin, KP-10, Metastin 45-54
What the research covers
Kisspeptin has been studied in small human trials. In healthy men, kisspeptin-10 given by injection or infusion increased LH levels and LH pulse frequency. Other studies have looked at kisspeptin in women, in people with low reproductive hormone signalling, and as a trigger for egg maturation in IVF using kisspeptin-54. The research is mostly short-term and in small groups. Most human studies used injection or infusion rather than nasal delivery. Kisspeptin is not approved as a medicine in most countries.

Frequently asked questions
What does the research on kisspeptin show?
Small human studies show kisspeptin-10 can raise LH and its pulse frequency in men. Research is early-stage and mostly short-term.
How is kisspeptin different from gonadorelin?
Kisspeptin acts higher up the pathway, on the nerve cells that release GnRH. Gonadorelin is GnRH itself and acts directly on the pituitary.
Are there side effects with Kisspeptin-10?
Side effects can occur. Your GP will review your health, medication and, where relevant, blood results before prescribing, and you should report anything unexpected.
Which formats are available and how should I store them?
Kisspeptin-10 is available as: pen, vial (injectable), nasal spray. Your GP will help you choose the most suitable format. Keep unopened lyophilised vials cool and dry, away from light. After reconstitution, refrigerate at 2-8C, protect from light and do not freeze. Keep pens and cartridges refrigerated at 2-8C and do not freeze. Refrigerate the nasal spray after opening unless your pharmacy label says otherwise. Follow the storage instructions on your pharmacy label.
How much Kisspeptin-10 should I take?
Your dose is set by our licensed GP following a consultation, and printed on your pharmacy label.
