LIPOTROPIN (AOD)
320.00 AED — In stock

Lipotropin is a hormone fragment derived from pro‑opiomelanocortin (POMC) — the same precursor that also gives rise to ACTH and endorphins. It has been studied in metabolic research for its connection to lipid mobilization and energy utilization pathways through the broader family of POMC‑derived peptides. ⚗️ Product Features 🧪 POMC‑derived peptide hormone 🔥 Investigated for lipid mobilization and metabolism ⚙️ Works through natural hormonal pathways ✅ ≥98 % purity verified by HPLC 📄 Batch‑specific Certificates of Analysis (COAs) included 💧 Sterile, lyophilized peptide for research applications 🔬 Human‑Relevant Research Applications 🔥 POMC‑Related Peptides & Lipolysis in Human Adipose Tissue A controlled research study using human white adipose tissue explants showed that melanocortin receptor agonists — peptides derived from POMC family including lipotropic sequences — significantly stimulated lipolysis, releasing free fatty acids and glycerol from intact human fat tissue. This suggests that POMC‑derived peptide signaling can contribute to lipid mobilization in human metabolic systems.🔗 https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26459134/ — Melanocortin receptor agonists stimulate lipolysis in human adipose tissue explants. 🧾 Mechanism Summary ⚡ POMC peptides interact with melanocortin receptors that are linked to metabolic regulation 🔥 In human adipose tissue explants, melanocortin signaling has been shown to stimulate lipolysis 📊 Supports research into energy mobilization and metabolic responses via endocrine pathways 🔄 Reconstitution & Handling Guidance 1️⃣ Reconstitute with sterile bacteriostatic water2️⃣ Add appropriate volume per research protocol3️⃣ Gently swirl — do not shake4️⃣ Store reconstituted peptide at 4–10 °C5️⃣ Refrigerate unopened vials until use ❓ Frequently Asked Research Questions Has lipotropin itself been shown to cause lipolysis in humans?Direct clinical research on Lipotropin alone in humans is very limited. However, POMC‑derived peptides — the family that includes lipotropin sequences — have been shown to stimulate lipolysis in human adipose tissue explants, suggesting relevance to human metabolic regulation. How does this relate to metabolic research?POMC‑derived signaling interacts with melanocortin receptors in adipose and central tissues, influencing pathways tied to energy balance and fat mobilization — key areas of investigation in metabolic and obesity research.
What is LIPOTROPIN (AOD)?
AOD-9604 is a synthetic peptide based on the C-terminal end of human growth hormone. It is a modified version of the hGH 177-191 region, with an added tyrosine at the start. It was developed in Australia in the late 1990s.
The fragment was designed to keep the part of growth hormone linked to fat metabolism while avoiding its effects on growth and blood sugar. Animal research suggests it may influence how fat cells break down and store fat. It does not appear to act through the main growth hormone receptor.
Also known as: AOD9604, Lipotropin, Tyr-hGH 177-191, Anti-Obesity Drug 9604
What the research covers
AOD-9604 has been studied mainly in animal models. Studies in obese mice and rats from around 2000 to 2001 reported changes in fat breakdown and fat oxidation, without the effects on insulin and growth seen with full growth hormone. Small human trials were later run to look at safety and weight, but larger trials did not show meaningful weight differences compared with placebo, and development as a weight-loss medicine was stopped. Early research suggests it is generally well tolerated, but evidence in humans remains limited. AOD-9604 is not approved as a medicine by the US FDA.

Frequently asked questions
How is AOD-9604 different from HGH Fragment 176-191?
Both are based on the same end region of growth hormone. AOD-9604 is a specific modified version with an added tyrosine, and it is the form that went through formal animal and human testing.
What does the research show?
Most research is in animals, where it has been studied for effects on fat metabolism. Human trials looked at safety and weight, but larger studies did not show a clear benefit over placebo.
Which format should I choose, and how is it stored?
It is available as a pen, vial or nasal spray. Your GP will discuss which suits you. Pens and reconstituted vials are kept in the fridge, and the nasal spray is refrigerated after opening. Follow the storage instructions on your pharmacy label.
Are there side effects?
Side effects can occur. Your GP will review your health, medication and, where relevant, blood results before prescribing, and you should report anything unexpected.
