Semorelin Pen

Sermorelin (GHRH 1-29) is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone, comprising the biologically active first 29 amino acids of endogenous GHRH. Studied for its role in stimulating the pituitary gland's natural growth hormone production, Sermorelin supports research into hormonal regulation, metabolic function, and age-related physiological changes. How It WorksSermorelin binds to GHRH receptors in the anterior pituitary, stimulating the natural, pulsatile release of growth hormone. Unlike exogenous GH, research suggests this mechanism preserves the body's natural feedback loop and hormonal regulation systems. Key Research Areas Growth hormone axis regulation and pituitary function Body composition and lean tissue research Metabolic health and energy regulation Sleep quality and restorative processes Age-associated changes in GH secretion Available as a precision peptide formulation in a pre-loaded pen device. What is Semorelin Pen?

Sermorelin is a synthetic form of the first 29 amino acids of human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). This is the shortest part of the natural 44 amino acid hormone that keeps full activity. Unlike Mod GRF 1-29, it has no amino acid substitutions.

Sermorelin acts on GHRH receptors in the pituitary gland. This is thought to prompt the pituitary to release its own growth hormone, while the body's normal feedback controls remain in place. It is broken down quickly in the blood, so its action is short.

Also known as: Semorelin, GRF 1-29, GHRH(1-29)-NH2, Sermorelin acetate, Geref

What are peptides?

What the research covers

Sermorelin has a longer clinical history than most growth hormone peptides. It was studied in children with growth hormone deficiency and used as a diagnostic test of pituitary function. Reviews have discussed its possible role in adults with age-related decline in growth hormone, but this use has not been tested in large trials. Sermorelin acetate was previously approved by the US FDA as Geref for diagnostic use and for growth hormone deficiency in children, and was later withdrawn from the US market by the manufacturer.

Frequently asked questions

What does the research on sermorelin show?

Sermorelin was studied in children with growth hormone deficiency and as a diagnostic test. Its use in adults has been discussed in reviews but not tested in large trials.

How is sermorelin different from CJC-1295?

Sermorelin is the unmodified GHRH(1-29) sequence and acts for a short time. CJC-1295 has four substitutions for stability, and the DAC version also binds albumin to last for days.

Are there side effects with Sermorelin?

Side effects can occur. Your GP will review your health, medication and, where relevant, blood results before prescribing, and you should report anything unexpected.

Which formats are available and how should I store them?

Sermorelin is available as a pen. Keep pens and cartridges refrigerated at 2-8C and do not freeze. Follow the storage instructions on your pharmacy label.

How much Sermorelin should I take?

Your dose is set by our licensed GP following a consultation, and printed on your pharmacy label.
